SENIOR MEN

As rugby is dragged kicking and screaming into the internet age, we are seeing a proliferation of club web sites springing up, all the better to keep rugby fans updated, and a very welcome development.

Most, if not all websites, naturally talk about their club in glowing terms.

However, please consider these facts when looking for a club.

The ICRC is a founding member of the Ontario Rugby Union (1950);

Since that year, the ICRC have won the most Senior Mens Cups (16) and the most Senior Mens League championships (11); the ICRC have won two Cups and three Leagues in the last five years; the ICRC development squad have been in the TRU final for three of the last five years and won the Cup in 2005; and the ICRC have supplied the most players to the Toronto RCSL franchise since its inception in 1999.

The club fields Men's First, Second and Third teams, Women's First and Second teams, Junior Men and Women, and a Men's Old Boys Team (The Leprechauns).

Those are the facts in black and white.  When you add them to the great team atmosphere that the club has, the top flight facilities available to it at Fletchers Fields, the dynamic social scene we promote and the passionate rugby people we have from our past and present, you will get a tremendous rugby experience that is certainly amongst the best in Ontario.

The season starts in April with pre-season games, continues through September with the Marshall Division of the Ontario League (the top league in the Province), and wraps up with the McCormick Cup in October.  In recent history, the Irish have started a "Season Ending Tour" tradition that has taken us to Dallas, Los Angeles, Victoria, B.C., New York City, Charlotte, North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia!

The club trains on Tuesday and Thursday nights, mostly at Fletchers Fields, the home of Ontario rugby.  This facility has six full sized fields, a scrum machine, showers and club rooms.

Our prime social venue is the Rose and Crown, in the Yonge/Eglinton area of North Toronto, and the club can be found in there most Thursdays and Saturdays during the season.  Check out the framed jersey on the wall!

We welcome rugby players and supporters of all shapes and sizes, please check out the rest of this website for more information, and we look forward to welcoming you!
